Our Service Is Intended for Adults

Fibblewick creates personalised products for children, but our website, ordering process, and personalisation services are intended for adults.

You must be at least 18 years old, or the age of legal majority where you live if higher, to place an order or submit photographs or personal information through our personalisation service.

Children should not independently place orders, upload photographs, or otherwise submit personal information directly to Fibblewick.

Information We Collect

Customer Information We may collect your name, email address, telephone number, billing and shipping addresses, order and transaction information, customer service communications, marketing preferences, and other information you voluntarily provide.

Personalisation Information To create a personalised product, you may provide information about a child or another person, including first name or chosen name, age or age range, interests, personality traits or characteristics, story preferences, personalisation instructions, photographs, and other information voluntarily submitted through the personalisation process.

Please provide only information reasonably necessary to create the personalised product.

Photographs Photographs may constitute personal information and may identify a child or another individual.

We process uploaded photographs only as reasonably necessary to create, review, produce, fulfil, support, and, where appropriate, replace your personalised order, and to maintain the security and integrity of our services.

We do not sell uploaded photographs.

Unless we separately obtain appropriate permission, we do not use photographs of children for public advertising, social media posts, public website galleries, testimonials, unrelated promotional campaigns, or training general-purpose artificial intelligence or machine-learning models.

Payment Information Payments are processed through Shopify Payments. We generally do not directly receive or store complete payment card numbers.

Technical Information When you use fibblewick.com, we and our service providers may automatically collect information such as IP address, browser and device information, cookie and similar identifiers, pages viewed, referring pages, approximate location derived from technical information, and information about how you interact with our website.

Authority to Provide Information About a Child

By submitting photographs or other personal information relating to a child, you confirm that you are the child's parent or legal guardian, or otherwise legally authorised to provide that information and authorise its processing for the purpose of creating and fulfilling the personalised product.

You must not submit photographs or personal information that you do not have the right to provide.

How We Use Personal Information

We may use personal information to create personalised products; process and fulfil orders; perform quality checks; assess uploaded photographs; generate print-ready production files; communicate about orders; process payments; arrange printing, fulfilment, and delivery; provide customer support; process complaints, refunds, and replacement requests; detect and prevent fraud, abuse, and security incidents; maintain and improve our services; comply with legal, accounting, and tax obligations; establish, exercise, or defend legal claims; and send marketing communications where permitted by applicable law.

Children's Photographs and Personal Information

We recognise that photographs and information concerning children require particular care. Access to uploaded photographs is restricted to personnel and service providers who reasonably require access to create, produce, fulfil, support, or secure an order.

Uploaded photographs are stored using private, access-controlled systems and are not intended to be publicly accessible.

Where reasonably possible, our printing and fulfilment partners receive only the production files and information necessary to manufacture and deliver the product rather than the customer's complete collection of original uploaded photographs.

Print-on-Demand Production Partners

Fibblewick uses third-party print-on-demand production and fulfilment partners located in multiple countries.

We may provide production partners with information reasonably necessary to manufacture and deliver an order, including print-ready files containing photographs and personalised content, recipient name, delivery address, order information, and other information necessary for production and delivery.

Our production partners are not authorised by us to use children's photographs for their own unrelated advertising or promotional purposes.

International Transfers

Fibblewick is operated from Japan and serves customers internationally. Personal information may therefore be processed in countries other than Japan and other than the country in which you live.

Where required by applicable law, we seek to use appropriate contractual, technical, organisational, or legal safeguards for international transfers.

Retention and Deletion

Our standard policy is to delete original uploaded photographs approximately 90 days after fulfilment of the relevant order, unless additional retention is reasonably necessary because of an active customer service matter, replacement request, dispute, suspected fraud, security concern, legal obligation, or legal claim.

Deletion from active systems may not immediately remove information stored temporarily in encrypted backups. Print-ready production files may be retained separately for a limited period where reasonably necessary for customer support, authorised replacement orders, dispute resolution, or operational purposes.

Service Providers

We may use third-party providers for Shopify ecommerce infrastructure, Shopify Payments, private photograph and file storage, printing and fulfilment, shipping and logistics, email communications, affiliate management, customer reviews, analytics, fraud prevention, customer support, and website infrastructure.

Cookies and Similar Technologies

We may use cookies and similar technologies to operate the website, maintain shopping-cart functionality, remember preferences, prevent fraud, understand website performance, measure marketing effectiveness, and personalise advertising where permitted.
